Prevention project to improve public health in communal facilities”
“With every overnight stay, guests, residents, or users introduce new biological contaminants into textile sleep systems.
To date, there is limited publicly available data regarding the actual extent of these contaminants.
THMS® Int. e. V. aims to foster greater transparency, awareness, and prevention through independent studies.”
With each use, new skin flakes, moisture, microorganisms, and allergens enter textile sleep systems.
The combination of organic matter, heat, and moisture can create conditions that favour the proliferation of house dust mites and the growth of certain microorganisms.
Therefore, regular testing and appropriate hygiene measures play a vital role in preventive health protection.
THMS® Int. e. V. is planning a non-profit research and awareness project focused on health promotion and prevention.
The goal is to investigate hygiene-related contamination in mattresses and pillows within communal facilities and to develop information and prevention measures to protect public health.
The scientific analysis will be conducted in collaboration with an independent laboratory and research partners.
