Executive Board

The Executive Board of THMS® International e. V.

THMS® International e. V. is a non-profit research organisation dedicated to promoting the scientific study of textile hygiene and the prevention of textile-related health risks on an international level.

The Executive Board is responsible for the association's strategic direction, the establishment of scientific collaborations, and the development of international research projects.

Working Together for Scientific Progress

The Board serves on a voluntary basis and pursues exclusively non-profit objectives.

Promoting independent research into textile hygiene

Developing scientifically sound testing methods

Georg Abshof

Chairman

Georg Abshof is the founder and chairman of THMS® International e. V.

For many years, he has focused on the fields of textile hygiene, infection prevention, and environmental health. His practical experience in hotels and healthcare facilities inspired the idea of establishing an international scientific foundation for textile hygiene.Under his leadership, the association develops standardised procedures for analysing textile surfaces, fosters international research collaborations, and builds a scientific database to support future prevention measures.His goal is further to develop textile hygiene as a distinct scientific discipline and thereby make a lasting contribution to the protection of public health.

Kanuengnit Abshof

Deputy Chair and Treasurer

Kanuengnit Abshof is the Deputy Chair and Treasurer of THMS® International e. V.She is responsible for the organisational and financial management of the association and supports the development of international partnerships, particularly in Southeast Asia.In addition, she assists in the preparation of scientific pilot projects and contributes to the association's international networking efforts.
